/ABOUT THE PROJECT
The City of London (Municipal Housing Development) is looking to rezone the City-owned surplus lands at 1364, 1376, 1390 & 1408 Hyde Park Road in London, ON. With the support of Siv-ik Planning and Design Inc., they are exploring a potential redevelopment of the surplus portion in a manner that positions the lands to accommodate a new mid-rise housing development.
We understand that change in neighbourhoods warrants conversation. This website provides an opportunity for those who are interested to learn about the vision for the site early on in the planning process and to share their thoughts. The project team is committed to engaging with local residents at multiple points in the process.

In December 2022, the project team published and shared our "Project Backgrounder" to help residents learn more about the planning process and the preliminary vision for redevelopment of this site.
Stemming from the preliminary design principles which we shared previously and considering feedback received through the first phase of our engagement program, we have prepared a detailed Concept Plan for the project. The Concept Plan is the next step in the evolution of the design for this development.
The Concept Plan includes one 7-storey apartment building with a total of 80 residential units, a 6-storey apartment building with 60 residential units and three 2-storey townhouse buildings with a total of 17 residential units. The project includes 92 surface parking stalls.
