/ABOUT THE PROJECT
Kevlar Development Group (the developer) is looking to rezone their lands at 4366 Colonel Talbot Road in London, ON, as part of the on-going redevelopment of the McEachren School Site. With the support of Siv-ik Planning and Design Inc. and the project consulting team, a restaurant with a drive-through facility is being planned for the site.
We understand that change in neighbourhoods warrants conversation. This website provides an opportunity for those who are interested to learn about the vision for the site and to share their thoughts. The project team is committed to engaging with local residents throughout the process.
The proposed development requires a Zoning By-law Amendment Application from the City of London.

The Concept Plan includes a small-scale restaurant with a walk-up take-out window and a patio. The site design provides for a total of 15 surface parking stalls and a single one-way drive-through (including 10 stacking spaces) with an exit onto Colonel Talbot Road. Access to the site is provided by way of a joint access coordinated and shared with the medical centre at 4402 Colonel Talbot Road.
To learn more about the Concept Plan that has been submitted to the City of London for review, please download the reports, plans and studies below.
Once a Zoning By-law Amendment Application is submitted, you will receive a formal notice from the City, notifying you of this application and inviting you to provide comments. At that time, you will be able to access the files from the City of London Planning Applications website and be able to provide comments directly to the City Planner assigned to the file.
This website is part of our “developer-led” communications/engagement program that provides another easy and accessible way for residents to learn about the project and provide feedback.

/HOW IS MY FEEDBACK USED?
Feedback received through our outreach program will be used to inform our understanding of the local context and, where possible, shape some elements of the design of the project. We acknowledge that change is difficult and that no outcome will satisfy all interested parties completely. As such, the project team cannot integrate everything suggested by our neighbours and the community at-large. However, we commit to:
-
Providing you with quality and up-to-date information about the project.
-
Helping you to understand how you can participate in the process.
-
Asking for your thoughts and perspectives.
-
Sharing what we have heard and our team’s response to it.
