/ABOUT THE PROJECT

Mansion Homes (the developer) has acquired the site at 574 Southdale Road East in London, ON. With the support of Siv-ik Planning & Design Inc. they are planning a low-rise, infill residential development project on the site.  

 

We understand that change in neighbourhoods warrants conversation. This website provides an opportunity for those who are interested to learn about the vision for the site early on in the planning process and to share their thoughts. The project team is committed to engaging with local residents at multiple points in the process.

In September 2021, the project team published and shared our “Project Backgrounder” to help residents learn more about the planning process and the preliminary vision for the redevelopment of the site. 

 

Stemming from the preliminary design principles which we shared previously and considering feedback received through the first phase of our engagement program, we have prepared a detailed Concept Plan for the project. The Concept Plan is the next step in the evolution of the design for this development. 

 

The Concept Plan includes two 3-storey stacked townhouse buildings with a total of 14 (one and two-bedroom) residential units and 18 parking spaces.

The community engagement portion of this project has now concluded as this project has been approved by City of London Council.

/HOW IS MY                   FEEDBACK USED?

Feedback received through our outreach program will be used to inform our understanding of the local context and, where possible, shape some elements of the design of the project. We acknowledge that change is difficult and that no outcome will satisfy all interested parties completely. As such, the project team cannot integrate everything suggested by our neighbours and the community at-large. However, we commit to:
