Michael joined Siv-ik Planning & Design as Principal Planner and Director of Planning after more than twenty years of progressively senior municipal planning experience in Ontario. Throughout his career, he has led multidisciplinary teams, directed complex development applications, and provided strategic advice on a wide range of current planning and land development initiatives. His experience includes senior leadership roles where he helped shape planning policy, improve development review processes, and advance strategic land development initiatives.

 

Michael brings extensive experience in Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendments, development approvals, growth management, and strategic planning. Drawing on extensive municipal experience, he helps clients navigate the development approvals process with practical insight into how land use policies are interpreted and decisions are made. Known for delivering practical, policy-based, and defensible solutions, Michael works collaboratively with clients, municipalities, and consultant teams to resolve complex land use issues through sound professional judgment, clear communication, and a solutions-oriented approach. As Director of Planning, he is focused on supporting the continued growth and technical leadership of Siv-ik's planning practice while mentoring staff and delivering exceptional client service.
