/ABOUT THE PROJECT

In February 2022, an application was submitted for the project site municipally referred to as 801 Sarnia Road. A Zoning By-law Amendment was approved to permit the development of a six-storey apartment building. Since the previous rezoning approval for the project site, the vision for development in the city and characteristics of the housing market in London have changed significantly. In light of these changes, Royal Premier Homes (the developer), with the support of Siv-ik Planning and Design Inc., is considering a new concept for the site which involves the development of a 10-storey apartment building.

We understand that change in neighbourhoods warrants conversation. This website provides an opportunity for those who are interested to learn about the vision for the site early on in the planning process and to share their thoughts. The project team is committed to engaging with local residents at multiple points in the process.

The preliminary concept plan prepared by Zedd Architecture Inc. envisions the development of a 10-storey residential apartment building, containing a total of 182 residential units. A total of 91 surface parking stalls will be developed with the project.

 

Once the required Official Plan and Zoning By-law Amendment Application is submitted, you will receive a formal notice from the City of London, notifying you of this application and inviting you to provide comments. At that time, you will be able to access the files from the City of London Planning Applications page and be able to provide comments directly to the City Planner assigned to the file.
 
This website is part of our “developer-led” communications/engagement program that provides another easy and accessible way for residents to learn about the project and provide feedback.
